It was definitely a unique experience!
Post-holing refers to what happens when hiking in deep snow and you sink deep into the snow with every step — usually up past your knees or even up to your hip! It’s rough going.

What a fun adventure to get you out of your doldrums. Learning and seeing bears who hibernate in cotton wood trees. And catching the early spring ventures is so unique. The bear trying to encourage a friend to get up and out and join him - its Spring! Fun to know the bears were also entertained with you as you were with them. I fully enjoyed your pictures and always wonderful storyline to let me feel I was watching you but from warmer quarters at home. But I am curious about what is a 'post hole' thru the snow that you mentioned about 1 of the bears?
