Hi Susie!
Thank you so much for your note and your generous offers! Since I wrote this blog, I have upgraded my water trough. It’s big and clean with some rocks piled on one end for birds or other little critters to get to the water, too. Thank you so much for offering to send me one, though!

I have a lot of native plants for the wildlife. My blueberries and raspberries are fenced off so that I can eat them!

“Our” doe had another fawn here last week. The doe is pretty regular at the trough now having to make milk for her little ones. They’re so much fun to watch.

I was wondering if you need a larger trough that I might be able to save up some money and have it sent to you. Also to add to the food of the animals would a blueberry bush be something I could mail you also I live in an Suburban area of San Diego call Chula Vista I have a house with a very small backyard but I’m like the only one that doesn’t have artificial turf I have real grass and a small garden with flowers I provide water and hummingbird feeders to the birds that come to my yard I am growing a blueberry bush and I have some tomato, squash, strawberry plants I have only been here 2 years but I enjoy helping the little Wildlife we have coyotes because they development has encroached on their flat hunting area I feel bad for them because they’re so scroungy skinny and some are mean she looking there’s one that crosses a slope above where I live I just couldn’t stand it anymore so I have put water and every other day am putting some food for the coyote I don’t have a camera to see if he alone is the one visiting my small feeding station I just want to help him get through the summer without suffering thank you for your posts Susie in San Diego California

Apparently following your talk with the dogs about porcupine etiquette, the dogs promptly advised the porcupines they probably should stay away from this watering place when they are out and about.
